Sometimes, in order to improve, organizations need to seek help from beyond their own resources and look to external consultancy. In these cases we can help you find credible and recognised consultants from the CQI Management Consultants Register (MCR) whose contribution is to bring value to business.
What is the MCR?
The MCR is a service run by the CQI to provide businesses with contacts to consultants of known capability and experience.
Why use the MCR?
Because it lists only consultants of known experience and capability, all of whom have had to undergo a rigorous selection process. You will be given access to the register of consultants details so you can select the industry and expertise you need. You can then select from them the one that best suits you and directly contact them for further assistance.
Registered consultants
Registered consultants are independent consultants who have a wide range of training and experience and are geographically well distributed. All of which means that they can offer you consultancy cost effectively.
Consultants must undergo an initial assessment during which they have to provide evidence of experience and customer satisfaction. They have to undergo reassessment every three years and demonstrate that they continue to fulfill the entry requirements.
Because they are independent they are free to quote you competitive rates.
Consultants are expected to take part in continuous professional development and maintain their skills.
Registered consultants are bound by the management consultants register code of conduct.

How the process works:
- Complete the registration form to enable us to issue you with a password to use the online directory
- Select the relevant areas of expertise and, where relevant, industry specific experience
- View the selection that the search has produced and select who you would like to contact for further information
- Contact the consultant and discuss your requirements with them directly
- You then select the consultant that best suits you and your organization. It is up to you and the consultant to agree fees, timescales and programme of work
- Once the assignment is finished the CQI obtains feedback from both parties in order to identify any lessons learned and improve the process, this is why we ask all users to register for the directory prior to access.
