Miranda Sealy, ACQI

Miranda Sealy became an Associate member of the CQI in September 2009. Miranda works for the Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) in Barbados as an Assistant Registrar, Corporate Strategy & Business Development.

CQI membership has opened avenues for me both personally and professionally. Personally, it has made me more aware of quality issues in everyday life and makes me strive for higher standards. Professionally, membership has enabled me to enhance both my strategic and management skills. It also strongly complements my qualifications and work experience.

I have taken advantage of the CQI's excellent training courses and look forward to attending conferences and networking with other quality management professionals. I also plan to start making contributions to Qualityworld.

Being a CQI member is important to me because it means that I am taken seriously as a professional in the field of quality management and my input on issues affecting the organization are valued.

I would recommend becoming a member of the CQI because of the knowledge to be gained and the discipline involved in being a quality management professional - it is a continuous process of improvement. 

Promoting quality assurance and employing quality tools and techniques helps me to provide a much greater level of service as my organization works towards ISO certification.
