Examinations

All examination entries must be returned by 15 April (for June exams) or 15 November (for January exams) or the next working day if the day falls on a weekend.

Late entries will not be accepted later than 10 days before the examination session. Late entry charges will apply to examination entries after the set deadlines.

If you are a distance learning student, you will need to find an Examination centre  that will provide you with a place to sit the examination. If you attend lectures at a college, then your education centre will usually provide you with the facilities to sit the examinations. If you are unsure whether you can sit your examination at your college or learning provider, please contact them directly to confirm.

If you are a distance learning student your options are as follows:

• travel to the CQI headquarters 
• contact one of the current CQI education centres and ask if they will accept you as an external student 
• contact any other local college/university and ask if they will accept you as an external student 
• contact one of the organisations below to enquire if they could facilitate your examination. Some of them are private companies who have been 
• accredited to provide examination facilities to CQI students 
• if you live outside of the UK, please contact the British Council who can normally arrange for you to sit the examination there

Please note in almost all cases you will be expected to pay an additional fee to sit the examination at a centre's premises. Details should be obtained directly from the representatives of these organisations.

You need to inform the CQI of your examination centre no later than six weeks before the exam by using an Alternative examination form. This form is obtainable from your current Education centre.
