Course tutor
Lynn Smith is an experienced professional consultant, coach and trainer and has worked in the private, public, and not-for-profit sectors, both on an individual and team basis with blue chip organizations such as Mitel Electronics, PA Consulting, The Foreign Office and the Metropolitan Police. Lynn has spent many years consulting and training around the world in the Pacific Rim, USA and Europe.
She began her working life as a radiographer in both diagnostic and therapeutic radiography and has successfully moved sectors having spent 10 years in senior management positions initially in the NHS and then working in the private sector. She has worked within the quality management environment for the last 15 years and has coached a range of people, from junior staff to senior executives in change management techniques.
Her special interests are working with organizations in culture change by helping people through the transition to become more proficient and provide excellent customer service. She sees quality as an integral part of working life. A certificated ISO 9000 auditor and an experienced European Quality Business Excellence model assessor, Lynn also mentors Institute of Management/NVQ graduates and entrepreneurs at the University of Hertfordshire Business School. She is a member of the Institutes of Directors, Management and Management Consultants and the Association of Chief Executives of Voluntary Organizations.
Keeping up her interest in the medical area, Lynn is a volunteer cancer counsellor and her interests include wine tasting and scrap booking.
