CQI Wales

The Wales Branch acts as a representative for all CQI members in Wales and is a voice and local focus to the South West Regional Committee and the London headquarters.

Important News

The Branch will be holding a joint event on February 2012 with the Association of Project Managers. Flyers will be issued in th next three weeks.  Please keep the date free in your diary. David Hoyle, who has had many books published on quality will be one of the guest speakers. Details to follow.

An email has been sent to all Branch members to elicit the views of those living or working in Mid/North Wales regarding the possibility of holding an event in that area. Please respond if you would be interested, it is your chance to have your say about events in your area. Contact the secretary if you have any queries.

Aims and objectives

  • To provide an effective local organization to further the aims of the CQI
  • To arrange and publicize a suitable programme of events and visits to promote efficiency, education and training in quality and to foster professional relations and partnership working
  • To co-operate with other organizations within the branch area, and to seek the views of branch members in all matters pertaining to the advancement of the management of quality
  • Contribute to determining the CQI's objectives, plans and targets, particularly as articulated in the business plan and the supplement prepared by the Branch and Regional Board
  • Contribute to delivery of the outputs of the business plan in those aspects appropriate to the branch’s resources by developing and implementing local plans
  • Work creatively to maximize the contribution of the branch volunteers to further the CQI's aims, and to ensure that those volunteers are motivated and recognized for their contribution
  • Identify and obtain the resources required to enable the agreed programme of activities to be delivered.

Events

Visits and talks are arranged on a variety of subjects of interest to members located in the CF, NP, LD, and SA postcode areas. The branch meetings afford an opportunity for members to meet each other on an informal basis to discuss their common interests in the pursuit of quality.

New members, and those who may not have attended meetings previously or for some time, are always very welcome. The committee members can be contacted for further details of the events and would be delighted to hear from you.

The Committee are very keen to obtain members’ views on how the branch can be improved. A survey has been sent to all members but if you have not received the email or would like to respond please complete the survey and send to the Branch Secretary.
