10th March 2011 CQI Wessex Event - Quality Manager 2011 and IIP
Quality Manager 2011 and Investors in People - presented by John Skinner from Rod Darch Associates
The role of the Quality Manager in 2011 is changing rapidly and they now require considerable business skills in order to succeed. In addition to this, they need a good understanding of the principles of Investors in People to support changes within their organization. This standard provides an excellent framework in which to promote change.
This event presented by John Skinner from Rod Darch Associates, discussed how quality managers must acquire a wide range of business skills in order to ensure that their position adds greater value to the organization. Perhaps the title 'Quality Manager' no longer reflects this position within an organization?
The principles of 'Investors in People' was also covered, as success within this role is highly dependent on the integration of HR principles within the business management system.
The event was interactive with questions from the floor being welcomed by John Skinner. The meeting was very well received and the presentation gave information on what we should all be aiming for, to make the best of our abilities within the management system in the organization.
