Deming Special Interest Group

The group explores the Deming approach - the implementation of an alternative management style as introduced by the late Dr W Edwards Deming, the renowned contributor to both management and the quality improvement revolution worldwide.

 Deming SIG

Objectives

The group aims to continue to develop Deming's thinking and ascertain how new approaches to leadership, management and organizational development can be incorporated into today's public, private and voluntary sector organizations.

Where are we on this journey?

Starting in 2002 the Deming Special Interest Group (DemSIG) ran a series of quarterly workshops exploring Deming's work and its application. In 2007 a working group began the development of an online resource based on Deming's work augmented with with other compatible ideas (Deming++). This resource is called a Model of Sustainable Organisation (MoSO) which was launched here on the CQI website in 2010. View a MoSO trailer video

Join us on this exciting journey

MoSo is not a static resource - it is continually being developed and enhanced as our thinking and understanding develops, and as new 'recruits' join the journey.

DemSIG creates a friendly, open and inviting place to learn and share. It is a very diverse group with many of its members drawn from outside the world of 'quality'. You'll find that our regular face-to-face meetings (and LinkedIn discussions) are never dull and predictable - they are a great place to meet new (and old) friends.

So why not become a member of DemSIG and join us on an exciting journey of learning and discovery.
