ISO 9001:2015 Review

In 2015, the new ISO 9001:2015 standard will be published. Early feedback indicates this will be a major overhaul that will significantly impact certification bodies, training organisations and businesses using ISO 9001.

As a holder of Category A liaison status with ISO Technical Committee 176, the CQI is playing a major role in shaping the direction of the revision process. Through this section of the website, we will be bring you the latest news, insights and support up to and beyond the launch in 2015.

ISO 9001:2015 CQI members’ views

More than 1,400 CQI members responded to the CQI Standards Panel ISO 9001:2015 survey, aimed to gauge members’ views on key sections of the Committee Draft (CD). Mark Braham, leader of the CQI Standards Panel ISO 9001 Team, outlines the key findings in ISO 9001:2015 CQI members' views.

All you need to know about the ISO

The revision of the world’s most popular standard, ISO 9001, is set to have a huge impact on anyone working within the quality sphere. As a holder of Category A liaison status with ISO Technical Committee 176, the Chartered Quality Institute is playing a major role in shaping the direction of the revision process.

As a member of the CQI you therefore have a crucial part to play in the revision process, as it’s your feedback which impacts the outcome of the revision. As Quality Professionals it is also you that will be most affected by the changes and therefore it is important that we keep you up to date with what will be happening in the near future.

The Draft international standard of ISO 9001:2015 is now available free to CQI members. To view the draft, log in to My CQI and click the ISO 9001:2015 link in your Member Resources section. 

 

What's coming up?

  • Now that the DIS has been published, the CQI will distribute a member survey inviting CQI members to review the DIS and provide feedback
  • The survey feedback will be collated by the standards panel in June and submitted to ISO

In order to keep you in the loop we are providing a range of materials, including; roadshows, reports, roundups and seminars all dedicated to the ISO 9001 revision and what it will mean for you. The following materials are available or will be available over the coming months:

  • The release of a one page summary on what the CQI believe the revision will mean for Quality Professionals

CQI Seminars on ISO 9001:2015

For anyone involved in quality management systems, whether as a Quality Manager, Quality Representative or Consultant, these nationwide CQI in depth seminars are vital and will answer a number of questions including:

  • How will the changes affect your organisation?
  • What are the implications for your existing QMS?
  • What can you do to prepare for the transition?

These half-day seminars are only £185+VAT for CQI members and £220+VAT for non-members. This is also an excellent opportunity to network with other quality professionals.
