Peter Fraser

Peter Fraser has an honours degree in mathematics and has been a member of the Institute for the Management of Information Systems (MIMIS) since the 1970s. After 12 years in software systems development, he led the IT skill group at Thomson McLintock Associates (later KPMG) in Scotland where he was a managing consultant. He established his own independent consultancy in 1988 prior to establishing his company MandOS in November 1999.

MandOS has developed a range of process mapping and management system software (Promanade) which is now used in the public and private sectors in both the UK and in more than 15 countries overseas. The software makes it easy for an organization to define and communicate how work is done and managed, in a simple, clear and concise format.

He designed and delivered quality management modules for a leading UK university's MSc project management course and has published a number of articles on business process management and management systems design in Qualityworld and TickIT International.

He is a former captain of Gordonian Rugby Club, a regular competitor in the highland cross charity biathlon and former chairman of Aberdeen and St. John Mountain Rescue Association. He published Dee the Business (Black and White Publishing, 2005), a light-hearted commentary on computer and management terminology - in Doric.
