Registration, fees and course structure

What is the total cost of the course?

The CQI delivers the qualifications through a network of education centres. This means that in order to study any of the CQI qualifications, you will need to find an education centre and register with them directly.

They will be able to respond to your questions and confirm the course prices. The current list of education centres can be found in the "Where to study" section.

How do I register?

This process is explained in full on our registration pages.

Do I need to complete the CQI Certificate before doing the CQI Diploma?

Level 5 candidates are recommended to complete the CQI Level 3 Certificate in Quality Management or have equivalent knowledge and skill before commencing a Level 5 qualification. Equivalent knowledge and skills can be 1-2 years work experience in the quality field or any Level 3, or higher level qualification.

Do I really need to study at a centre or can I just sit the examination?

You need to register with the centre in order to study and sit the examination. As an awarding body, CQI does not teach the qualifications - this is done through a network of education centres.

How does the Level 3 and Level 5 compare with a degree?

The examples of qualifications at different levels can be found here.

Do I need to be a member of the CQI in order to study for the qualifications?

Yes, you will need to become a member of the CQI before enrolling on a qualification. You will not be able to register for any qualifications or units. You must maintain your membership in order to sit an exam or submit an assignment/project. If you would like more information on how to register for a qualification, please see here.
