This course helps delegates to understand the basics of process design and analysis and how to develop a systematic approach to performance improvement as applied to all aspects of business processes.
This course takes delegates through the fundamentals of variation from understanding the difference between common and special/assignable causes to the concept of standard deviation. It covers control charts for variable data introducing delegates to the ‘Median and range’ and the ‘Individuals and moving range’ charts. This is followed by an introduction to control charts for attribute data – the P chart, the NP, C and U charts finishing on day 2 with the concept of ‘process capability’.
