The Chartered Quality Institute is governed by its Board the members of which are the trustees of the institute. The Board is supported by an Advisory Council.

The International Register of Certificated Auditors, which is an autonomous division within the institute haveing operational independence in respect of its certification activities, has its own governing boards, the IRCA Business Board and IRCA Certification Board.
