Membership demonstrates a commitment to provide customers with quality products and services and members are expected to honour this commitment while they remain Company Members. They are expected to conduct their businesses in an ethical manner; behave with respect for their customers, suppliers, employees, stakeholders and the environment in which they work; and base their dealings on the principles of honesty, integrity and trust.

Company Members must ensure that their activities do not bring the CQI into disrepute.

Company Members are expected to ensure that all their employees are aware of and operate to the standards to which the company is committed under this Code of Practice.

Use of logo

Company Members may use the 'A Commitment to Quality' logo provided they have agreed to follow the CQI Code of Practice for Company Members and that the following conditions are met:

• the logo is not seen to be supporting anything that might be detrimental to the CQI
• the logo is not shown in such a way that it appears to endorse a product or service
• the logo must be used in accordance with the guidelines issued, with regards to size, colour and where it can be displayed
• the Company Member has paid its membership subscription for the period in which the logo is used

Rejection of applications or removal from membership

The CQI Board of Directors may, at its absolute discretion, reject applications, decline to renew or rescind membership at any time.

In the event of suspension, or removal from membership, or withdrawal of the right to use the logo, the Company Member shall remove the logo and all reference to Company Membership of the CQI from:

• its website and any electronic materials within seven days of receipt of notice
• all printed matter within 60 days of receipt of notice

Amendments

The Code of Practice for Company Members may be amended from time to time. The rules applying at any time shall be those published on the's website at www.thecqi.org/companymembership/code.shtml (this page).
