Academic qualifications

The CQI stipulates no specific entry requirements, however, students must have a good standard of numeracy and literacy, as specific modules within the qualification require mathematical calculations and written essay work. GCSE Maths and English, or equivalent, are advisable.

Vocational/occupational qualifications

Students from the following occupational sectors may benefit from this course and subsequent qualification:

1. Business Improvement Techniques
2. Customer Service
3. Administration
4. Engineering

This list is not exhaustive and only a represents a number of occupational sectors.

Vocational experience

Students may be new to quality and therefore will have little current experience to support their application. However, students that are in a working environment involving quality would benefit from this qualification, as they will be able to apply some of the theories and techniques in the workplace and see the results first hand. Students who are not working will benefit from finding volunteer positions within a quality working environment.
