- FSBIG is a special interest group of the Chartered Quality Institute, a not for profit organisation.
Who should join?
To join individuals should be
- working within the financial services sector.
- currently formally engaged in business optimisation as a practitioner on a full-time basis.
- using formal business optimisation quality methods and tools.
The types of professionals in the above categories normally include (but are not limited to) those involved in: Six Sigma, Lean, Process Improvement, Quality, Re-engineering, Change Management, Strategic Change, Best Practice, Transition or Change Project Managers, Sponsoring/Championing of Improvement or Change.
Our aim is that in line with the FSBIG mission and membership criteria all those who are business improvement practitioners within finance industry will automatically become members of FSBIG with access to regular meetings.
All those working in other sectors including consultants who have expressed an interest in the group will become associates of FSBIG with invitation to attend open/general meetings expected to be held every 4-6 months.

Join the CQI
Existing CQI members can join the Financial Services Business Improvement Group at any time at no additional fee through the CQI membership department.
Other professionals who are not yet members of the CQI but would like to join should apply for associate membership of the CQI via the CQI membership department and indicate their requirement to join the CQI Financial Services Business Improvement Group.

Our sector groups are required to be self funding and to determine their own vision and goals, but in general the purpose of the sector groups is to:
- provide a focus for the sector within the CQI
- provide a focus for quality and quality management issues within the sector
- to develop, if applicable, and publish a specific sector quality management system model
- to develop and publish 'proven practice' for specific activities within their speciality or sector
- to initiate and undertake specific projects of special interest to their speciality or sector, for example developing 'benchmark data' for the sector
- to exchange information and provide a forum for the CPD of members
