Environment, Health, Safety and Quality (EHSQ) Manager

RMS design and manufacture electrical penetrators and wet-mateable connectors for the oil and gas industry. Our products are used around the world by many of the major oil and completion companies such as BP, Shell, Chevron-Texaco and Esso.
RMS is part of James Fisher Plc, providing backing and strength to ensure continual growth.
Due to our continued expansion, we are now seeking an Environment, Health, Safety and Quality (EHSQ) Manager. Duties will include evolving the management systems within the company whilst maintaining compliance with ISO9001 and other specific product standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and continually improve the company's internal integrated EHSQ management systems
- Ensure compliance with all statutory regulations and standards: OHSAS18001, ISO9001 and ISO14001
- Advise management on pertinent aspects of hazards control and abatement, especially with respect to the identification of potential health hazards and safety risks associated with company's operations
- Manage the integrated internal audit programme
- Develop, monitor and review work processes to ensure excellent level of customer service delivery
- Recommend and oversee EHSQ training for employees
- Continually analyse, develop and articulate the EHSQ needs of the company
- Provide leadership and direction
Requirements
- NEBOSH qualified
- Auditing qualifications, ideally IRCA
- Deep knowledge of relevant EHSQ policies, regulations and standards
- At least 10 years relevant experience in an engineering manufacturing environment
- Membership of a relevant professional institution is desirable
- Good planning, organisation and administration skills
- Negotiation skills and ability to take and act on decisions
- Proactive and driven by the need to add value
- Networking and Relationship management abilities especially with regulatory officials
- An analytical mind and strong problem solving ability
Salary is negotiable, depending on experience.
