The CQI is committed to supporting and developing those of its members who hold the Associate Member grade and this grade of membership will continue for the foreseeable future although new entrants at this grade are no longer being accepted.

In 2002, we designed a fast-track route to upgrade to Member grade (MCQI) with the added incentive of a reduced transfer fee. Since then 350 AMCQI members have taken advantage of this quick and easy transfer process, and have been successful in their upgrade to MCQI.

There are still a small number of AMCQI's who have not yet taken advantage of this offer and details of the fast-track route to upgrade your membership are set out here. Please note: this upgrade is only available to members who hold the grade of AMCQI and does not apply to members who hold the grade of ACQI.

Benefits of upgrading

Upgrading to MCQI Member grade undoubtedly adds value. It enhances professional status and is a clear recognition of competence with a degree equivalent qualification recognised throughout the world. It is a significant addition to the CV, and offers greater advantage in career improvement. This is equally the case whether or not the job concerned is in a direct quality management field: quality is something that enhances everything we do and remaining part of the quality fraternity offers major professional and business benefit both to the employee and to the company or organisation.

How to upgrade

If you would like to take advantage of this offer, we will need the following supplementary evidence:

• Current job description
• An updated and attested CV
• Completed transfer application form
• Any additional information to update us on any quality related activities, branch work, written articles, training and education undertaken which you have been involved in since your last application.
• Reduced transfer administration fee of £20.00
• Your membership number
