We've had two Steering Group meetings so far and have or are pursuing the following:

• Secured CQI approval for our existence
• We've made contact with most CQI Branches
• Contacting various related groups with which we might be able to collaborate eg British Nuclear Engineering Society, Institute of Nuclear Engineers, MoD contractors, Nuclear Safety Director's Forum, Nuclear Industries Association, Nuclear Decommissioning Authority, Nuclear Installations Inspectorate
• Made initial contact with groups that may be interested in helping to fund our events
• Made contact with the IAEA to discuss a combined event built around their new management system standard GS-R-3
• Setting up and maintaining a CQI webpage and a private forum for members
• Launching a Newsletter
• Preparing an article for Quality World
• NucSIG Chairman invited to be a member of CQI Professional Policy Board
