Many thanks to the Vienna based QA expert Pal Vincze of the International Atomic Energy Authority (IAEA) who gave a much appreciated presentation which explained the role of the IAEA and introduced the new management system standard GS-R-3 which requires an integrated, process-based response by nuclear installations for their safety management systems.

All other presentations are available in the NucSIG Forum. The Forum is open to approved users only. Please contact the NucSIG secretary to join.

The NucSIG Steering Group also wishes to thank the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA), the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) Nuclear Directorate, the CQI and the MoD Defence, Equipment and Support group for their generous hospitality and support for the events in providing venues and speakers.

The events included a workshop through which the members could steer the Steering Group which now has much valuable input to help it shape the future plan. We are still analysing the input but a clear message is emerging from all three events that the SIG wants to focus on Best Practice Sharing, Benchmarking, Training and CPD.
