EOQ announces the election of Dr Nickolas B. Vitantzakis as Patron of the European Quality Week 2003
The theme for the EQW 2003 is
'Quality in the workplace: make it happen'
We are all concerned by the well-being of each individual, we all spend most of our time at work where we should feel happy, recognised and free. This year the European Quality Week will be focused on quality in the workplace, focusing on the organizations, companies and individuals who all play an important role in the workplace.
Mr Vitantzakis, General Director of the Hellenic Telecommunications Organization (O.T.E. S.A.), was recently elected European Quality Leader of the year 2002.
Being a quality leader means that at the same time you have the ability to be a manager and a leader, you also have the skills to introduce transformation in the organisation, to allow it to adapt to new challenges and new environments with all existing quality concepts and techniques. Mr Vitantzakis was elected as European Quality Leader 2002 and was chosen out of a selection of brilliant European quality leaders. His involvement in the quality world makes him the perfect Patron for the EQW 2003.
