CQI Training - additional route to membership (MCQI)

Many training courses provide a certificate to show delegates' attendance or successful completion of a course. However, there is no single recognition of all the knowledge and skills acquired by an individual who attends several training courses in a related field.

CQI Training has developed the Certificate of Training in Quality Management Practices (CQMP) to help these individuals to demonstrate achievement of a certain amount of knowledge and skills in the quality management field, which is linked to the CQI Body of Quality Knowledge.

Knowledge comes from a variety of sources and all should be formally recognised in some way. In February this year the CQI Qualification Board (QB) recognised the CQMP as meeting part of the requirements to apply for member grade (MCQI) via the qualification route.

So what does this mean if you are an associate member or previously attended CQI training courses? The CQMP offers individuals and existing CQI members the opportunity to upgrade and apply for MCQI.

To apply you must meet all the following requirements:

  • have successfully completed the Certificate of training in Quality Management Practice
  • have a recognised degree
  • have 5 years experience (2 of which should be at supervisory or management level)

The CQMP is a cost effective and flexible way to obtain recognition and qualifications for knowledge and skills gained through a series of short courses linked to the CQI Body of Quality Knowledge.
