The following are a selection of like-minded organisations that may be of use to you in implementing quality and improvement. The inclusion of an organisation on this list does not constitute endorsement by the CQI.

	AccountAbility AccountAbility is a non-profit, membership organisation established in 1995 to promote accountability innovations that advance responsible business practices and the broader accountability of civil society and public organisations.
	American Society for Quality Formed in 1946, ASQ are one of the longest established quality organisations outside the UK. Apart from information about ASQ activities and services, their website contains information on standards such as TL-9000 and QS-9000 and a Virtual Quality Network
	British Standards Institution BSI is the national standards body for the UK. As such it has played a leading role in the promotion of quality in the UK and in the development of standards world-wide. In addition to its standards making role, BSI is also involved in certification, training and consultancy activities. Their site includes a searchable directory of standards, with the option to buy and read on-line and details of their commercial activities.
	Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply CIPS is an international organisation, based in the UK, serving the purchasing and supply profession. With over 28000 members worldwide, CIPS is dedicated to promoting best practice and provides a programme of continuous improvement in professional standards, raising awareness of the contribution purchasing and supply makes to corporate, national and international prosperity.
	European Organization for Quality The CQI (as IQA) was one of the founding members of EOQ, whose mission is to promote quality across Europe. If you want to find a national quality organisation in Europe, details are included here, as well as information about European Quality Week, the European Quality Platform, and many other pan-European initiatives.
	Excellence Ireland Quality Association EIQA exists to facilitate and promote the use of quality product innovation to add value to organisations and enhance the standing of quality professionals. It works with thousands of organisations, public and private, large and small, throughout Ireland and the United Kingdom. EIQA has demonstrated the proven link between implementing a continuous improvement programme and improved business results.
	Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency The HKQAA exists to promote management system and product certification concepts in accordance with the applicable certification standards; to assist industry and commerce to implement relevant systems; and to deliver world-class assessment and certification services.
	ICS The Institute of Customer Service (ICS) is a non-profit making professional body dedicated to helping organisations and individuals raise their service standards. It is THE professional body in the UK for customer service professionals, supported by over 140 organisational members and nearly 3000 individual professional members.
	IFST The Institute of Food Science and Technology (IFST) is the leading Europe-based independent professional qualifying body for food scientists and technologists. It aims to advance the standing of food science and technology as a subject and a profession, and to serve the interests of the public and our members. It is independent of government, industry and lobby or special interest groups and its educational activities are run by a registered charity
	Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment The Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment is a not-for-profit organisation established to promote best practice standards in environmental management, auditing and assessment. IEMA is a leading international membership-based organisation dedicated to the promotion of sustainable development, and to the professional development of individuals involved in the environmental profession, whether they be in the public, private or non-governmental sectors.
	International Organization for Standardization ISO co-ordinates the writing and publishing of standards world-wide. This site includes lots of useful information about ISO 9000:2000, and on all aspects of standards.
	learndirect learndirect is a nationally recognised brand for learning and is the largest e-learning network of its kind in the world. It delivers unique range of products through three business streams: careers advice; skills and qualifications; business.
	MOD Managing Quality website Defence Quality Assurance Policy (DQA Policy) act as the executive arm of the Defence Quality Assurance Authority, and provide MOD policy advice and guidance on quality and quality assurance to the defence acquisition community. DQA Policy work closely with industry through the Defence Industries Quality Forum to develop new and improve existing MOD quality and quality assurance policy.
	Partnership Sourcing Limited The Confederation of British Industry and the Department of Trade and Industry (established PSL (Partnership Sourcing Ltd.) in 1990 to promote the concept of collaboration and partnering in business. PSL focuses on both the public and private sectors covering all industry sectors, manufacturing and services, working with small, medium and large enterprises.
	The Royal Statistical Society The Royal Statistical Society is an international membership organisation with members in over 50 countries worldwide. We promote public understanding of statistics and provide professional support to users of statistics and statisticians.
	United Kingdom Accreditation Service UKAS is the sole national accreditation body recognised by government to assess, against internationally agreed standards, organisations that provide certification, testing, inspection and calibration services. Accreditation by UKAS demonstrates the competence, impartiality and performance capability of these evaluators.
