CQI Standards Development Group
The Standards Development Group represents the views of the Chartered Quality Institute in the development of national standards related to the institute's objectives.
Objectives
- To ensure that the CQI is adequately and effectively represented on UK standards and policy making bodies in the field of quality management and related management systems.
- To select appropriate CQI members to represent the CQI and authorise their nomination to the relevant UK standards and policy making bodies.
- To establish an approved CQI policy for specific standard and policy making bodies where appropriate and to brief the CQI representatives.
- To ensure that the CQI is informed of all national and international standards and publications and potential standards relevant to its objectives.
- To establish and maintain a register of national and international standards under development, the associated committees and the CQI membership thereof.
- To establish CQI responses to developments in standardisation and communicate them to the appropriate bodies.
Membership
The group is open to those members of the CQI who wish to contribute to the development of standards and support the objectives of the SDG.
