A powerful lean tool for assessing organisations - fast

Speaker: Mr. Gary Winstanley, Operations Director, Siemens Traffic Controls
The Rapid Plant Assessment process is a lean tool for assessing organisations during as little as a half hour plant tour. It has been developed over the last three decades and used in hundreds of organisations, often as a means of assessing potential acquisitions. Siemens Traffic Controls recognised RPA as a means of assessing best practice and are active in using it for gap analysis and as a driver for subsequent improvement. This presentation will provide an overview of the RPA tool and Siemens Traffic Controls experience of using it.

Visit to BVT Surface Fleet Shipyard at HM Naval Base Portsmouth
Fleet Way, H M Naval Base, Wednesday 12th November 2008 6.30 pm
This will be the first CQI visit since the enlarging of Portsmouth facilities and the merger of VT Shipbuilding and BAE Systems surface shipbuilding activities.
Work on export contracts for both Oman and Trinidad and Tobago can be viewed during progress from receipt of steel through the cutting, shaping, welding, fabrication, construction and fitting out processes.
Safety gear will be provided, a video presentation will be given before the tour commences.
