Description
The objective of this course is to provide participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to carry out internal audits of their organisation's quality management system (QMS), to the ISO 9001:2000 standard. This course ensures that the internal audit process is a value adding activity, which not only evaluates the performance and effectiveness of the QMS, but also identifies where improvements can be made.
A highly interactive course using accelerated learning techniques
This course has been developed in line with ISO 9000:2000 QMS series of standards and ISO 19011:2002 Guidelines for QMS Auditing. The Internal QMS Auditor Training Course (No. A17153) is certified with the International Register of Certificated Auditors (IRCA) and satisfies part of the training required for certification as an Internal QMS Auditor with IRCA.

- overview of quality, standards and reasons for auditing
- ISO 9001:2000, overview of requirements
- structure of process-based QMSs
- audit, auditor's role and responsibilities and audit planning
- audit preparation (process and documentation review)
- conducting audits including opening meeting and interviews
- evaluation of evidence, audit conclusions and reporting
- preparation of audit reports
- conducting closing meetings
- follow-up of audit findings and the corrective action process for continual improvement
