QMS (ISO 9000 series) auditor/lead auditor
This course develops delegates' knowledge and understanding of the ISO 9000:2000 series of standards and process based quality management systems (QMSs), together with the skills required to effectively audit these systems in accordance with ISO 19011:2002. Successful completion of this course (No. A17071) certified by the International Register of Certificated Auditors (IRCA), satisfies the IRCA training requirements for certification to the QMS 2000 auditor certification scheme.
Course content
- understand the purpose and requirements of ISO 9000:2000
- understand the implementation, maintenance and continual improvement of an effective QMS
- implement, plan and manage QMS audit programmes covering first, second and third party audits
- develop skills to effectively plan, conduct, report and follow-up process-based management system audits to ISO 9001:2000 in accordance with ISO 19011:2002
- develop skills in management as a team leader of audit teams
- use the QMS audit process as an effective business tool for continual improvement of a QMS
NB: This course can be tailored to incorporate other management system standards, which might be applicable to specific business sectors.
