Developing the skills of new quality managers
This 2-day course is designed to provide the delegates with the knowledge and skills required to maintain and continually improve their organisation's quality management system based on ISO9001:2000 Standard. The course helps quality managers to develop their skills in improving the quality management system processes and provide more effective feedback to the top management for review and decision making.

- Effective approach to documentation and records ensuring a lean system
- Effective quality manuals and good system design
- How to ensure a customer focus environment assisting in understanding customer needs and expectations
- Approaches to monitoring customer satisfaction
- Role of the quality management representative
- Roles and responsibilities of quality managers and effective interaction with other departments/functions
- Planning of internal audits and implementing the audit programme
- Identification, recording and taking action on nonconformities (resulting from customer complaints, suppliers' non-conformities, audit nonconformities, and nonconformities identified through inspections/monitoring)
- How to ensure effective corrective actions to help prevent recurrence of nonconformities
- How to ensure effective preventive actions to ensure prevention of potential nonconformities
- Effective analysis of data (trend analysis and root cause analysis, and examples of various approaches to the analysis of data for submission to the management review process)
- Management review process, various approaches to holding a review, and the role of the quality manager
- External assessment of the QMS, role of external auditors, approaches, and effective communication and relationship with your external auditor
- Continual improvement (discussion of various approaches and good practice)
- Challenges for quality managers and discussion of approaches to manage/overcome them
